Immigrant Rights and Labor Advocates Join Together For a Day of Solidarity
As national and local candidates jockey to prove who is most anti-immigrant, the immigrant community demands a solution for the 12 million undocumented immigrant workers and families who are living in the shadows. This May Day, we renew our call for just reform, a stop to the criminalization of immigrants and a rejection of all anti-immigrant proposals. We issue calls to the following elected leaders:

Who: Immigrants, immigrant rights and social justice advocates and labor unions
When: Thursday, May 1st, 2007, 11:00AM-3:00PM
Where: Oregon State Capitol, 900 Court St. NE, Salem, OR
“A DAY OF SOLIDARITY”
Who: Immigrants, community leaders, elected officials, artists, students, workers, educators, clergy, church groups, social justice advocates and labor unions
When: Thursday, May 1st, 2007 (Rally at 4:00 & March at 5:00)
Where: South Park Blocks (SW Park & SW Salmon) Downtown Portland, OR
May Day March for Immigrants Rights
Where: Alba park, Medford, OR (corner of W. Main St and S. Holly St., near the Post Office. Use the Barnett or Crater Lake Ave. Exits off I-5
When: Thursday, May 1st, 2007, 4:00PM
We will gather at Alba Park for a few brief speeches and inspiration followed by a march through Medford pausing at the Ginger Rodgers square to pay honor to the more that 4500 people who have died since the construction of the Wall of Shame between Mexico and the US.
