President Obama signs historic Health Care Reform Bill

Washington D.C.--Today, President Obama signed historic Health Care Reform legislation into Law. HR 3590 titled the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was passed by the U.S. House on Sunday with a vote of 219 for and 212 against.

During the signing today, President Obama said, “Everybody should have some basic security when it comes to their health...The bill I am signing will set in motion reforms that generations of Americans have fought for and marched for and hungered to see".

H.R. 4872, the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010 also passed the U.S. House on Sunday and will now go over to the Senate for a final vote.
