PHOTOS: 1st DREAMers Apply for Deferred Status in Oregon

Portland, Ore.-- This morning, a large group including members of Causa Oregon, PCUN, Oregon AFL-CIO, Latinos Unidos Siempre (LUS), a representative from Chair Jeff Cogan's Office and others met in front of the USCIS Application Support Center in Downtown Portland for an historic day in celebration and in support of the first DREAMers applying for Deferred Action Status in Oregon.

After a short press conference, the group walked to the Post Office to mail the 1st application to the U.S. Customs and Immigration Service Deferred Action Status Processing Center.

The event was heavily covered by the press including KGW News Channel 8, KATU News Channel 2, KOIN News Channel 6, Salem Statesman Journal, The Oregonian, El Centinela, UNIVISION Portland KUNP, Oregon Public Broadcasting and others.
