Annual May Day March and Rally to take place at the Oregon State Capitol on Friday, May 1st
Salem, Ore. -- On Friday, May 1st, Causa and allies will host our annual May Day March and Rally at the Oregon State Capitol in Salem. The event will begin at 10:30am with thousands expected to turn out.
This year, Oregon Governor Kate Brown will attend and speak during the rally portion of the program on the State Capitol steps.
The Oregon State Legislature will be voting on issues important to our communities this session. Join us as we gather on the steps of the State Capitol to urge Oregon State Representatives and Senators to pass legislation on the following issues:
We will also raise our voices and defend President Obama's Deferred Action programs and urge passage of immigration reform to keep families together.• Increase Minimum Wage• Paid Sick Days for ALL Oregon Workers• End Wage Theft• Healthcare for ALL Children & Prenatal Care
