Salem, Ore.-- Today, over 400 people from around Oregon and Southern Washington turn out to Causa's 14th Annual Immigrant Action Day to hear about work being done to restore driver’s licenses for all, stop local law enforcement collaboration with ICE, improve education and promote equality for all members of our community.
Today's event was sponsored by the Multicultural Center and the group JUNTOS at Chemeketa Community College, the Salem-Keizer Coalition for Equality and with the support of Voz Hispana and Mujeres Luchadoras Progresistas.

I am a 20 year old guy, that came to the united states when I was 9. I been here for 11 years more then half of what I have lived. When I was 11, I always dream about driving Everywhere in Oregon.
I always been wanting to drive to visit all the beautiful places in Oregon. I have try to in buses and friends and stuff. But there is nothing batter then driving your self to places. Oregon has been a home to me I live in wilsonville an been here for 11 years. My parents sometimes wanted to move to other states but me and my brother never wanted to leave Oregon. I live the cold and rainy weather. If I can I want to live the rest of my life in Oregon, I got really amazing memories and friends here.
I wish I had a driver license, I wish I had car, I wish the government understood that some of us are not criminals. That we want to be part of this state.
I want to drive when is raining I want to drive to every single part of Oregon.... I hope Causa can help us get a license and I hope the government sees that we all want to be happy and we all want to be part of this state... I hope we get the license back.
