As we are now into the 2nd week of the August recess, members of Congress are recognizing what we have been saying all along: The majority of Americans (including their constituents) want them to fix our broken immigration system. And, in just the first week of “Immigration Reform Summer,” our movement has has already delivered in turning up the heat! 

The only member of Oregon's Congressional Delegation that hasn't come out in support of a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million immigrants in the United States today is Congressman Greg Walden (R-OR/District 2).

Tell him that "Here in Oregon, we believe that the time is now for a real solution: immigration reform with citizenship. We want nothing less than an inclusive path to initial legal status and an achievable path to eventual citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrants in America. Although some misguided people are suggesting that we offer undocumented immigrants work permits and not full citizenship, that approach would relegate millions of people to a permanent underclass. We don’t want any more families to be separated. We don’t want half-measures that don’t meet the challenge of getting it right once and for all. We are fighting for every one of the 11 million aspiring Americans. Thank you.”
