Oregon Joins “Fast for Families” on National Day of Fasting and Prayer Today in Bend
Message to Speaker Boehner and Congressman Greg Walden: Give us a Vote on Immigration Reform
Those participating in the "Fast for Families" in Washington D.C. and in solidarity actions nationwide since November 12th are continuing to draw attention to the moral crisis caused by our country's broken immigration system and its impact on millions of families. Andrea Miller, Causa's Executive Director and Rob Sisk, President of SEIU Local 503 are among those participating in a 24 hour solidarity fast today in Oregon.
In Oregon, immigrant rights advocates are calling on Congressman Walden to come out vocally and publicly in support of passage of Immigration Reform with a path to citizenship and to urge his fellow members of Congress and the GOP House leadership to pass a bill this year -- one that keeps families together.
